As a community organization, volunteers are essential to pursuing our mission. Become a part of our team working to promote health, healing and survivorship.

Resource Centers
Volunteers meet, greet and help people who visit the Resource Center and assist people over the phone.
Duties include:
•   Greeting walk-in’s and answering questions regarding what programs are available on-site and in the community.
•   Answering phone calls and providing information about Arizona Oncology Foundation services and other community programs.
•   Scheduling integrative therapies and confirming practitioner schedules by phone calling patients the day before appointments.
•   Help with fitting wigs and head coverings for the loan program.
•   Help visitors find cancer lending library books for their education and interest.
•   Assist Program Coordinator, Integrative Therapy Practitioners, Movement Instructors,
Support Group Facilitators as needed.
No experience necessary. Training is provided. Volunteers may need to lift small boxes.

Chemotherapy Infusion Unit Volunteer
Duties include: 

•   Listening to and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
•   Offer companionship and getting the patient things they might need, for example, a drink of water, blanket, magazine, etc.
•   Learn resource services so that you can refer patients to appropriate programs of their need or interest such as wigs, head coverings, cancer lending library, support groups, integrative therapy treatments, movement classes, etc.
•   Abide by all Arizona Oncology clinic guidelines.
No experience necessary but you must have experienced chemo treatment yourself and be one year out from your last surgery, chemotherapy or radiation treatment. Training is provided.

Community Event and Health Fair Representation
Volunteers attend events to share Arizona Oncology Foundation programs.

Special Projects
Skills needed:

•   Wig Wash & Style
