Who is Arizona Cancer Foundation?

Arizona Cancer Foundation is a program-based organization that helps people through cancer treatment and survivorship, by providing services that increase quality of life while people fight cancer. Specifically, the foundation offers non-medical support services that most insurance companies cover little to none of the costs. Integrative and supportive services are designed to help patients, their family members and care givers.

Arizona Cancer Foundation offers numerous programs and services that are grouped into 6 basic categories – education, integrative therapies, support groups, nutrition counseling, transportation and other services such as housekeeping, lodging, breast prosthetics and post-mastectomy items, as well as wigs and head coverings. Many of the programs are FREE. Some come with a small fee.

How is Arizona Cancer Foundation different from a normal foundation?

Traditional foundations typically grant money to unrelated organizations and other charitable causes, which is wonderful and much needed. However, Arizona Oncology Foundation funds and delivers all of the programs and services offered to people fighting cancer.

What kind of help can a cancer patient and their family get from Arizona Cancer Foundation and how can you get services?

Arizona Cancer Foundation offers numerous programs and services to cancer patients and survivors – education, integrative therapies, support groups, nutrition counseling, transportation and other services such as housekeeping, lodging, breast prosthetics and post-mastectomy items, as well as wigs and head coverings. AOF also tries to meet individual needs as best as possible whenever necessary. For additional program information, call 520-471-9067, or visit our Resource Center at 2625 N Craycroft Rd., Suite 215, or our Information Center located at 603 N Wilmot Rd., Suite 151.

Where do you get the money to provide the services and programs?

AOF has a diversified funding stream that comes from:

  • Very generous individuals, local businesses and community leaders
  • Family and corporate foundations providing donations and grants
  • AOF hosts our own fundraising events to support our programs and services
  • Proceeds from fundraisers that are hosted by others.
