Arizona Oncology Foundation is a program-based organization that helps people through cancer treatment and survivorship, by providing services that increase quality of life while people fight cancer. Specifically, the foundation offers non-medical support services that most insurance companies cover little to none of the costs. Integrative and supportive services are designed to help patients, their family members and care givers.
Arizona Oncology Foundation offers numerous programs and services that are grouped into 6 basic categories – education, integrative therapies, support groups, nutrition counseling, transportation and other services such as housekeeping, lodging, breast prosthetics and post-mastectomy items, as well as wigs and head coverings. Many of the programs are FREE. Some come with a small fee.
Traditional foundations typically grant money to unrelated organizations and other charitable causes, which is wonderful and much needed. However, Arizona Oncology Foundation funds and delivers all of the programs and services offered to people fighting cancer.
