Official Covid-19 Response from the President of Arizona Oncology Foundation

Covid-19 Letter Header

March 16, 2020

Dear practitioners, therapists, volunteers and supporters of the Arizona Oncology Foundation,

As an organization whose focus is entirely on caring for those in the Southern Arizona cancer community, we find ourselves on the front lines of the global outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus). The virus has officially been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization and a public health emergency by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey. Together, we will do
everything in our power to protect the health of our communities.

At this time our duty is to help stop the spread of the virus to avoid community contagion, particularly among those who could be most vulnerable.

We have made the decision to consolidate our resources, volunteers and personnel, and to operate only from our Craycroft Resource Center, located at 2625 N. Craycroft Rd. Ste. 215, until Tuesday, March 31st. Ample signage at our Rudasil Resource Center informs patients, clients and other visitors of this change.

We will have a staff member at the Craycroft Resource Center Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm to provide assistance to our patients.

Volunteer support will be restricted throughout this time period. We will reassess the situation at the end of March and will provide further updates at that time. Until then, our Program Manager, Ron Bridgemon and available volunteers, will be happy to help reschedule/cancel any appointments or services.

These changes have been implemented to prioritize the absolute safety of our staff, volunteers, practitioners and the community we serve.

Thank you for your support and understanding at this unprecedented time.

Respectfully,

Lee Klein
President
Board of Directors
Arizona Oncology Foundation

What is Arizona Oncology Foundation?

Arizona Oncology Foundation is a program-based organization that helps people through cancer treatment and survivorship. We provide things that increase quality of life while people fight cancer. Specifically, we provide the non-medical supportive services that most insurance companies either don’t cover at all or not to the extent that is actually needed. We have integrative and supportive services that help patients, their family members and care givers.

Help Cancer Patients.

Research shows people fighting cancer who have support and use complementary services along with traditional treatment, heal better. We are honored to provide many supportive services and integrative therapies to patients, their caregivers and family members who are in the midst of fighting cancer. Thank you for helping us do this.

Honor a survivor or remember someone who has lost their battle by supporting those currently fighting. Memoriums and honorariums are gratefully and respectfully accepted.
